We celebrated another great year with BrokerTeam Group this past week at The Good Son with our affiliate and branch partners. This year the weather was on our side and we had a record turnout making for a cozy night of great food and drinks.

This year saw a lot of new beginnings for us with Zipper Underwriting, our in-house MGA, officially beginning operations and new branches from BrokerTeam Insurance, CHAT Insurance, Begin Insurance, and Brokerunion Insurance. Originally a branch of BrokerTeam Insurance, A-Z Insurance, also became an independent brokerage this year.

At the IBAO Convention this year, BrokerTeam Group also saw a string of finalists with CHAT Insurance as a Large Brokerage of the Year finalist and Primeservice Insurance as an Initiative Award finalist. BrokerTeam Insurance’s Helen Zong of the North York Branch also won the Rising Talent Award. Project SPOTLIGHT, BrokerTeam Insurance’s corporate social responsibility initiative was also present at this year’s IBAO by presenting a Paws Lounge from this year’s highlighted charity, Therapeutic Paws of Canada. This year’s IBAO was also the first time we hosted a BTG After Party which allowed us to thank some of our industry partners who helped to make the year a success.
