This year we said Bonjour to Montreal for our 5th annual BrokerTeam Group Forum. It was another great trip of engaging sharing and bonding with delicious food and drink. The theme of this year’s Forum was Brokerage Revolution Through Transfer of Experience where we discussed sustainable growth and some of the success and challenges we’ve had and may face in the coming year.

After a couple of years meeting virtually with our west coast partners, we were ecstatic to have our friends from Admiral Insurance in Vancouver and Inspire Insurance in Calgary join us in person. Also unique to this year, we welcomed our brokerage partners to bring their key management to join them as we split into different tracks on our second day of learning. With one track focused on legal and financial discussions with another on operations.

This year our forum kicked off early with most of us riding in on the same train car from Toronto where we enjoyed catching up with our partners. We then met the rest of the group at a kick off dinner at Place Carmin before settling in for the night.

The next day we enjoyed a day of sessions together before breaking off into two groups for some very Montreal activities. One group went for a food tour around the famed Mile End neighbourhood while the other group boarded a bus for a brewery tour around Montreal. On our final day of the Forum we split into two tracks before joining together for some more group sharing and discussion before taking the last train back to Toronto.
