Earlier this year we announced the creation of the BrokerTeam Excellency Fund, an award designed to highlight distinction within the BrokerTeam Group family. Any colleague within the BrokerTeam Group network and their immediate family that are competing internationally in an academic, creative, or athletic event are eligible to apply. Approved applicants could receive up to $2,500 in support towards their expenses.

The BrokerTeam Excellency Fund was created to further connect our network together. Just like how we are all proud to show off the accomplishments of our family members, we are also proud to hear about our colleagues and their families’ accomplishments! We want to share in their joy and support them in their passions.

We are now pleased to announce that BrokerTeam Insurance’s Marketing Manager, Alfred Sung, is our first recipient of the BrokerTeam Excellency Fund! In 2019, Alfred completed his first feature film, The Last Stitch, and premiered the documentary during CAAMFest in San Francisco, CA. In the film, Alfred focuses on his family’s intergenerational tailoring business from Shanghai to Hong Kong and Toronto, reflecting the history of the Chinese diaspora as well as the rise and fall of traditional craftsmanship.

We are so proud of Alfred and can’t wait to see who will be next in the BrokerTeam Group family to be awarded the BrokerTeam Excellency Fund!
