Excellency Fund
In 2019, BrokerTeam Group launched the Excellency Fund to highlight distinction within the BrokerTeam Group network. The fund is one of the first initiatives at BrokerTeam Group and was launched out of a desire to establish a strong connection within the network. Just like how you are proud to show off the accomplishments of your family members, we are also proud to hear about our colleagues and their families' accomplishments! We want to share in their joy and support them in their passions.
BrokerTeam Group is pleased to help contribute to expenses of up to $2,500 if any colleagues or their immediate family members are competing internationally in an academic, creative or athletic event/contest.
Past Awardees
2019 - Alfred Sung
BrokerTeam Insurance's Marketing Manager, Alfred Sung, is our first recipient of the BrokerTeam Excellency Fund! In 2019, Alfred completed his first feature film, The Last Stitch, and premiered the documentary during CAAM Fest in San Francisco, CA. In the film, Alfred focuses on his family's intergenerational tailoring business from Shanghai to Hong Kong and Toronto, reflecting the history of the Chinese diaspora, as well as the rise and fall of traditional craftsmanship.
2023 - Faith Lau
Faith Lau (12) is the daughter of BrokerTeam Group's COO-CFO, Jessica Man and the 2023 receipient of the BrokerTeam Excellency Fund. Faith competed in the international ballet competition, Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Finals in Tampa, Florida. To compete in the YAGP Finals, her duet was selected from the winners of the regional semi-final competition. Faith's passion is dance. She has been dancing since the age of 2 and enjoys performing and dancing as a way of artistic expression.
